Hello!
My name is Adil [pronounced aaa-dil). I also go by dil, doc and him.
I am:
Canadian, Torontonian, a settler, 38, a cisgender man, straight, a child of Tanzanian immigrants, a descendant of Indian and Persian ancestors, brown skinned, born Shia Ismaili Muslim, became an omnist, mostly able, middle class, post secondary educated, experience anxiety and unaffiliated with a political party.
Some of these identities will never change, some I am in the process of unfolding and some I have not yet shared but will in time and when relevant.
Prior to Reset, I was briefly the Managing Director at Artscape Danielās Launchpad and I worked at the Centre for Social Innovation for many years as its Director of Culture and later as its Executive Director.
Some of my previous projects include co-founding one of the worldās first mobile video apps in 2008, being a community liaison on the Obama campaign in Brooklyn in 2007 and launching a cooperative lemonade stand when I was 6 that still informs my thinking today.
I have been recognized as a DiverseCity Fellow and a Common Futures Fellow.
